Hundreds of local high school students were inspired last week by special guests Maurice Longbottom - World Rugby Sevens Star, Rachael Watson - Paralympian Gold Medallist Swimmer and Dominique Lamb from Brisbane32. Capricorn Enterprise organised visits to students from nine (9) high schools, joined by Local MPs for an inspirational couple of days!
Major Infrastructure Milestone for Great Keppel Island
Mary Carroll, CEO of Capricorn Enterprise, was pleased to join Livingstone Shire Mayor Cr Adam Belot, Member for Keppel Nigel Hutton MP, LSC Councillors and key stakeholders to inspect the progress of the new Great Keppel Island Arrivals Plaza and Wastewater Treatment Plant. The completion of the first operational stage of the wastewater project marks a significant milestone, with the critical infrastructure set to support sustainable tourism, enhance visitor experiences and help deliver the island's long-term Master Plan vision.
Six Years To Go! Rockhampton Flatwater Facility Planning
GIICA (Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority) recently visited Rockhampton, with only six years to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Representatives from GIICA recently joined the Darumbal People for a Walk on Country in Rockhampton, with the cultural stories and insights contributing to the planning for the Rockhampton Flatwater Facility.
